Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Systems Design Engineer to join our team. As an integral member of our engineering department, you will work on designing and developing comprehensive HVAC systems for industrial and laboratory facilities.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and Development: Create detailed designs for HVAC systems, including ventilation systems, control room HVAC, chilled water system design, and heating system design.
  2. Investigation and Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot complex HVAC engineering issues to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated HVAC systems, and communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and suppliers.
  4. Review and Recommendation: Assist senior engineers in reviewing existing facilities and proposing upgrades and replacements, and present findings and recommendations to clients and peers.
  5. Codes and Standards: Familiarity with ASHRAE and current HVAC industry codes and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant HVAC system design, including ventilation systems, heating systems, and chilled water system design for industrial and laboratory facilities.
  • Proficiency in TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.
  • Ability to create design flow diagrams and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Prior knowledge of relevant codes and standards applicable to HVAC and ventilation systems.
