Work Schedule:
This is a part-time role with shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, typically from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies appropriate serving utensils, monitors temperature, and ensures correct portion sizes for meals.
  • Ensures food is maintained at optimal temperatures for quality.
  • Handles dish room operations during peak lunch hours.
  • Maintains high sanitation standards in accordance with Health Department regulations.

  • Reports any maintenance issues or equipment failures to the supervisor.
  • Assists with daily kitchen and service area cleanup.
  • Helps with the storage and disposal of leftover food items.
  • Conducts thorough cleaning at scheduled intervals as directed by management.
  • Collaborates courteously with management, colleagues, and school personnel.
  • Interacts positively and respectfully with students.
  • Serves in a cashier capacity when required.
  • Exhibits strong time management skills and proficiency in basic math and science.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adheres to safety protocols consistently.
  • Complies with all organizational policies and training requirements.
  • Maintains a valid food handler's license as mandated by health authorities.
  • Flexibility in scheduling may be necessary based on cafeteria needs.
Physical Requirements:
The individual in this position must be capable of standing for extended periods and frequently walking, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills. The role requires the ability to work in hot, humid conditions continuously and endure cold environments for brief periods. Proficiency in operating commercial kitchen equipment is essential. The work environment is typically loud, consistent with standard kitchen settings.
