Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a reputable healthcare institution in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the PACU, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care
  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs
  • Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments
  • Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions
  • Manage care of patients
  • Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
  • Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
  • Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of critical care and PACU experience required
  • Strong background in telemetry
  • Must be tele-certified
  • Preferred skills and experience: 3+ years PACU experience, ACLS, BLS, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, PALS, tele-cert or competency exam
About the Opportunity:

This is a 13-week travel nursing assignment with a 36-hour workweek, 12-hour shifts, and no weekends or holidays required. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
