Technical Stagehand

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Stagehand to join our team at the City of Sacramento California. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of stage equipment for a variety of theatrical events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up the theater for various events, including theatrical performances, concerts, and educational programs.
• Install, operate, maintain, and repair stage equipment, including lighting, sound, and special effects systems.
• Collaborate with production staff to ensure smooth execution of events, including rehearsals, performances, and strikes.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Develop and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries during events.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in stagehand or related field.
• Strong knowledge of stage equipment, including lighting, sound, and special effects systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
