Regional Nurse Educator

The Regional Nurse Educator is a key member of the Wellpath team, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for nursing staff. This role requires a strong background in psychiatric mental health nursing and educator experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and coordinate educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, ongoing curriculum needs, recertification, and continuing education programs.
- Ensure all nursing education programs comply with current regulatory requirements and are evidence-based.
- Monitor nursing staff progress in meeting educational goals, maintain training database, and assess and document staff competencies during orientation and annually.
- Collaborate with nursing school programs in the community to provide clinical practice development and placement opportunities for students.
- Provide oversight and supervision to Regional Compliance and Accreditation Monitor, assume role of ERMA Committee chairman, and conduct ERMA Super User Trainings and monthly CPR trainings for all employees.
- Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field.
- A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in psychiatric mental health nursing is required, preferably with an additional two (2) years of educator experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Experience in Performance Improvement preferred.
- Must hold a current license as a registered nurse in state of employment.
