Job Description:

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist for a travel position in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients' bodies.
  • Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements:

  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist and be fully proficient in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in the required state.
  • BLS.
  • Must be fully proficient in MRI and have knowledge of required protocols in performing complex MRI procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a clinical area, preferably in EP.
