About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at Hargrove Engineers and Constructors. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing planned work packages for maintenance and turnaround repair work, ensuring that all necessary resources are obtained and orders are set to the ready to schedule status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed plans for maintenance work, including work hour and cost estimates, material requirements, access needs, and scheduling logic.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work in coordination with site supervision, ensuring that jobs are planned in a timely manner to support the requested notification requirement dates.
  • Create and maintain task lists for repetitive jobs, outlining detailed work instructions for work execution, including safety advice, resources, materials, tools, and services.
  • Review and purge the backlog on a weekly basis, ensuring that job resources are obtained and orders are set to the ready to schedule status.
  • Close out jobs by entering notification history and technically completing orders on a weekly basis, reviewing completed shop papers and updating the associated task list.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science, or related field is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in heavy industrial maintenance and 2+ years mechanical planning experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, computer proficiency for communications, failure analysis, and maintenance systems, and strong ability for effective problem solving.
  • Ability to read drawings, P&ID, Isometric, Schematics, etc., and multi-task oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
