Key Responsibilities- Oversee and engage in the daily functions of the production team, focusing on enhancing performance metrics and managing operational priorities.
- Articulate objectives and priorities to the team, inspiring and coaching members to meet production targets.
- Facilitate collaborative problem-solving and decision-making within the team, ensuring open communication among members.
- Mentor and develop team members, adjusting staffing and roles to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Identify inefficiencies in operations and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Execute daily administrative tasks, including updating production logs, managing inventory checklists, reviewing schedules, and addressing operational discrepancies.
- Oversee employee performance, recognizing achievements and clearly communicating expectations. Conduct annual performance reviews and document necessary communications.
- Supervise equipment maintenance, repairs, and general cleanliness of the production area.
- Participate in production and safety meetings, leading the team in achieving meeting objectives.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and governmental safety regulations.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, working cross-functionally with all departments.
- Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the company's core values through exemplary conduct.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to cultivate a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, demonstrating readiness to work.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team-building abilities to effectively guide the production team.
- Competence in metrology and the use of various measurement tools to ensure precision.
- Capability to set up and operate all machinery within the production area.
- Preferred educational background in Manufacturing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a light assembly manufacturing setting with a solid understanding of industry standards.
- A minimum of three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).
In this role, the employee is required to stand and utilize hands and arms for part manipulation. Frequent walking and occasional stooping or kneeling are necessary.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibrations, with a moderate noise level in the work environment.
