Thatcher Company, Inc. is a leading chemical manufacturer and distributor with a strong presence in the USA. We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Sacramento facility.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our Class 8 fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty equipment maintenance and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on tractors and trailers, including PM inspections and monthly trailer inspections
  • Conduct minor to medium repairs on tractors and trailers, including tire replacement, brake replacement, and troubleshooting and repair of wiring issues
  • Track and order parts as needed
  • Inventory and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Basic computer duties, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Be available for call-outs and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Two+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy duty equipment setting
  • Working knowledge of liquid bulk tankers and internal/external valves
  • CDL with TX Endorsements preferred, but not required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical
