About the Role

Gordon M. Buitendorp Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead. As a key member of our project teams, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design and implementation of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in project team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction documents, including building models, load analysis, equipment sizing, and specifications.
  • Design and implement complex mechanical systems, including hydronic system design and ductwork sizing.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, team members, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and lead the adoption of new approaches in mechanical systems design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in mechanical system design, including project management and leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully prioritizing work, managing multiple projects, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers across all levels of an organization.
