Position: Flight Paramedic
ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Flight Paramedic to collaborate with our dedicated air transportation professionals in the safe transfer of patients between medical facilities and during emergency scene responses.
Prioritizing safety and delivering effective patient care are fundamental to our operations; hence, you will be part of a high-caliber team committed to maintaining rigorous safety protocols for both our crew and patients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Flight Paramedics will evaluate each scenario to determine the most appropriate actions to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical conditions.
Employ advanced critical thinking abilities to manage severely ill or injured adult and pediatric patients while adhering to physicians' directives.
Take pride in ensuring a secure, hygienic, and well-equipped aircraft environment, conduct regular equipment and facility inspections, and comply with established safety standards and briefings.
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, medical facilities, and partners.
Provide comprehensive shift change information to the incoming team and follow protocols to maintain accurate documentation and records as per company and regulatory requirements.
Paramedics are responsible for upholding necessary certifications and engaging in ongoing training relevant to the position.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate commitment to punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and adherence to our elevated standards in safety and service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency or critical care environments.
Possess a current EMT-P Certification/License for the applicable state(s) of service.
Hold current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP/EPC.
PHTLS certification is required prior to achieving flight status.
PHNRP certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
FP-C certification is required to be obtained and maintained within 24 months from the date of hire.
Preferred Experience and Education:
Prior experience in air medical transport.
Advanced Certification (FP-C) is preferred.
Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS are advantageous.
