Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Histology Technician to join our team at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. As a Histology Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing histology specimens for pathologist review and diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process histology specimens for pathologist review and diagnosis
  • Organize and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment
  • Assist in the maintenance of laboratory records and databases
  • Perform quality control checks on laboratory procedures and equipment
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate laboratory operations
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Biological Sciences or related field
  • Two years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six months of experience organizing specimens and assisting in preparing them for processing using various methodologies, complex machinery, and staining systems
  • Epic, Kronos, and HealthStream experience
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking
