Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Southern Vermont. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. Your expertise in operating radiologic equipment, capturing high-quality images, and ensuring patient comfort and safety is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, addressing their concerns and inquiries.
• Ensure precise alignment and exposure by positioning patients and equipment appropriately.
• Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to produce high-quality images, adjusting settings for optimal results.
• Monitor patient well-being throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Review and process images to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to adhere to diagnostic protocols
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework guided towards ARDMS Board certification
• Hands-on clinical ultrasound experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS Board certification required.
• ARRT (R) and Vermont State Radiologic Technician license is a plus.
• Current health care provider BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
