Plasma Center Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Plasma Center Nurse to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also contributing to the collection of high-quality plasma that will become life-changing medicines.
Your primary responsibilities will include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and the management of the Center Physician for operational and medical issues.
You will be responsible for evaluating donor reactions, following applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, and referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed. Additionally, you will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Bring- A high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Current licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactory completion of the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
