Host/Hostess

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team at Jalapeno Tree Mexican Restaurant. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

• Welcoming guests and seating them in a timely manner
• Managing waitlists and quoting accurate wait times
• Answering phone calls and taking to-go and curbside orders
• Performing side work, including cleaning and organizing the host/hostess station
• Collaborating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
• Addressing guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
• High school diploma or GED
