- Provide Diagnostic Information: Provide critical diagnostic information to healthcare professionals by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs, preparing patients for procedures, and adjusting equipment controls.
- Maintain Quality and Production: Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Document Patient Care: Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Review Exams for Technical Accuracy: Review each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images, ensuring high-quality results.
- Assist Radiologists: Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Participate in Emergency Call Rotation: Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs, providing critical support during emergency situations.
- Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training.
- License/Certification: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification and state license (VA) in process by submission.
- Experience: Will accept new graduates.
