The Credit Portfolio Associate team at PIMCO plays a critical role in supporting Portfolio Managers and driving business growth by delivering exceptional service to clients and internal stakeholders. This position requires strong analytical skills, mathematical expertise, and excellent communication abilities to actively monitor portfolios and markets, measure risk, and manage client assets effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Portfolio Management to develop and implement effective investment strategies
* Utilize proprietary risk systems to monitor portfolio exposures and identify areas for improvement
* Provide exceptional service to clients and internal stakeholders, responding to ad hoc requests and resolving issues promptly
* Support Credit Desk, including Managing Director PMs, and Trade Flow order management
* Participate in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with an emphasis in Economics, Business, Engineering, or Mathematics, or a related field
* 1-3 years equivalent work experience in the investment management or securities industry
* Deep understanding of fixed income, including knowledge of most cash and derivative instruments
* Strong process-oriented background and organizational skills
* Exceptional communication skills required to operate in a complex financial and mathematical environment
* Excel power user critical
* Outstanding analytical skills with a proven ability to function efficiently and problem-solve in a fast-paced and time-critical environment
