Healthcare Assistant

Job Summary:
The Bilingual Reproductive Health Assistant plays a vital role in providing comprehensive health education and direct patient care, demonstrating a positive and cooperative manner, and a willingness to assist team members when needed.
This position requires a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of reproductive health and be able to provide accurate information and education to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, including greeting patients, taking medical histories, and performing lab tests.
- Assist clinicians with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Provide education and counseling to patients on reproductive health topics, including birth control, sexually transmitted infections, and pregnancy options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and test results.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out, including verifying patient information and updating records.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining medical supplies inventory.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification or degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of reproductive health and patient education principles.
