Job Summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking a skilled and experienced Colorist to join our team. As a Colorist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional hair color services to our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty to our brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultations and Services: Provide personalized consultations to clients, recommending the best hair color services and products to meet their needs. Deliver high-quality hair color services, including shampooing, conditioning, styling, and chemical treatments.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, working closely with colleagues to provide a seamless and enjoyable client experience. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering a culture of love, joy, trust, courage, and responsibility.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by increasing average service ticket prices through additional services, sales of unlimited roots memberships, subscriptions, and home hair care products. Meet and exceed monthly sales goals and other key performance indicators.
  • Client Satisfaction and Retention: Ensure 100% client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service, responding to client needs, and building strong relationships. Foster a loyal client base, encouraging repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
  • Store Maintenance and Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment, adhering to company standards and protocols. Ensure accurate inventory management, merchandising, and asset security.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs, staying up-to-date on Madison Reed products and service offerings. Support the training and development of Assistant Colorists, demonstrating coaching and care.
Requirements
  • Cosmetology License: Possess an active cosmetology license in the state where you are applying.
  • Experience and Skills: 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon environment. Effective communication, strong problem-solving, and people skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk for four plus consecutive hours; repetitive and regular bending and twisting at the waist; manipulating fingers and hands, bend and reach wrists and arms, reach with hands and arms or move up to ten pounds. May occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift, push, pull up to ten pounds.
What We Offer

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar offers a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $19 to $20 per hour, plus tips and commission. This position is eligible for commissions and tips in accordance with the terms of the Company's total rewards plan. Commissions and tips for this position will vary based on individual performance.
