Job Title: Registered Nurse

At River City Rehab, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare facility.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for overseeing, providing, and coordinating nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures. This includes assessing residents' care needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and document nursing history from residents and/or significant others, ensuring comprehensive understanding of present condition and prior problems.
  • Perform basic assessment of residents, indicating adequate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology, and record vital signs, notes changes, and pursue more-specific investigations as needed.
  • Use assessment information to develop a care plan before the end of duty time, communicating enough information for incoming staff to adequately care for the resident.
  • Evaluate and note the resident's response to nursing care defined in the nursing care plan and medical records.
  • Participate in peer review as appropriate and assume responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and unit conferences.
Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or equivalent, is required.
  • Experience performing the essential functions of the position is desirable.
  • Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing is required, and candidates are required to attain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days after hire.

  • Stand, traverse, ascend/descend stairs, move/transport carts weighing over 100 pounds, transport tools/equipment, grasp and manipulate tools/equipment to set up.
  • Move resident as necessary, stretch, bend, stoop, squat, twist, crouch, kneel, and balance to access all resident body parts, observe skin color, detect vital signs and equipment alarms/messages.
