Position Summary
As a Food Service Operations Supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated team of food service professionals, ensuring outstanding service in the main dining area and during special events. You will play a crucial role in fostering interdepartmental collaboration and aligning the dining service department with the overall operational strategy of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage dining services operations in a medium to large-scale environment.
- Engage with customers to address and resolve any complaints in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Assist in financial management, including profit and loss analysis and budgeting for the account.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design menus and deliver high-quality food offerings.
- Take charge of all food service-related activities, focusing on meal service quality, sanitation, and infection control.
- Support the implementation of new culinary initiatives in partnership with marketing and culinary teams.
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly reports for client presentations.
- Work alongside marketing and culinary departments to enhance sales through innovative food quality improvements.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team to ensure alignment with the company’s vision.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service management.
- Experience in various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare.
- Preferred experience in catering and table service.
- Familiarity with food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and accounting skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite.
- ServSafe Certification is a plus.
- Associate's degree is preferred.
