- As a key member of the healthcare team, the Interventional Radiology Technician operates under the guidance of a physician to conduct radiological and interventional procedures. This role adheres to the highest standards of medical practice in interventional radiology, ensuring that patient safety, confidentiality, and comfort are prioritized throughout all procedures.
- Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Mandatory: Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiological Technology program. Preferred: Associate's Degree in Radiology.
- Professional Experience:
- Mandatory: Minimum of one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology. Preferred: 1-2 years of dedicated experience in Interventional Radiology.
- Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current diagnostic radiology techniques.
- Proficient in computer systems and software applications.
- Exceptional time management, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Licensure and Certification:
- Mandatory: R.T. (R) (ARRT) certification.
- Mandatory: R.T. (R) (CI), (VI), or (CV) certification to be obtained within one year of employment.
- Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
