Your Role

A registered dietitian serves as a vital resource within a healthcare setting, applying their expertise to develop tailored, health-oriented nutrition strategies. Their role ensures that patients receive nourishment that aligns with their medical requirements while providing a compassionate approach to the healing process. By offering nutritious, healthful meals, these dietitians play a crucial role in supporting patients' recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments for patients within designated time frames, gathering and analyzing relevant data based on evidence-based practices.
  • Document the nutrition care plan in the patient's medical records, including assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and goals, while monitoring progress.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary care meetings and discharge planning, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.
  • Identify nutrition-related issues and work with the medical team to clarify underlying causes.
  • Design and implement individualized nutrition intervention plans, including enteral and parenteral nutrition as needed.
  • Review and approve therapeutic diets to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate techniques that address the diverse needs of different age groups and consider cultural, religious, and ethnic factors.
  • Collaborate with dining service staff to ensure accurate diet prescriptions and high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide follow-up care in line with treatment goals, referring patients to outpatient counseling and community resources as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily clinical activities as required.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new dietitians and dietetic technicians, serving as a mentor to students and interns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • ServSafe Certification
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • CDR Card
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • BLS Certification
