Key Responsibilities:
Conflict Management & Analysis
- Conduct thorough conflict checks for new client and matter intake forms, identifying potential conflicts of interest and supplying necessary information to assist in conflict resolution.
- Review and analyze new representation requests with a focus on risk management and adherence to firm-specific protocols.
- Perform preliminary conflict checks and summarize findings for internal stakeholders.
- Research potential clients and related entities utilizing firm databases and online resources.
- Execute due diligence and credit evaluations on prospective clients.
- Screen prospective clients against sanctions lists.
- Manage conflict checks for lateral hire candidates.
- Oversee correspondence related to intake forms, ensuring appropriate approvals are secured for any non-standard language.
Client Matter Coordination
- Facilitate requests for updates or changes to client matter information.
- Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure that client communications, such as engagement letters and conflict waivers, are current and properly archived.
Client Service Excellence
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding requests and approvals related to new business intake forms.
- Provide timely responses to inquiries from attorneys and staff regarding the intake process.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in conflicts or new business intake within a legal environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Intapp Open software.
