Surgical Care Coordinator

The Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Surgical Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and coordination of surgical procedures.
Job DescriptionThis role involves implementing physician orders, administering medications to the sterile field, and documenting patient information as required by organizational policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing
- Act as the patient advocate in the surgical setting
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in nursing
- A current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- A minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in the surgical setting
The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
