About the Role

This is a PRN Occupational Therapist position at Knute Nelson, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients. As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our clients, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Client Care: Evaluate clients, obtain and interpret subjective and objective data, develop treatment plans and programs, and provide quality care that assists clients to meet their goals.
  • Client Records and Billing: Provide accurate and timely documentation of services rendered, demonstrate understanding and knowledge of all payer sources and authorization required, and document collaboration with COTAs per regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, families, referral sources, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team, and demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Follow-Up Programs: Recommend and assure continuation of appropriate therapeutic follow-up programs and activities, develop programs to optimize successful discharge with the highest function possible, and make referrals to continuation programs as necessary.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Minnesota.
  • Must obtain CPR certification within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and use of an insured personal vehicle.
  • Must complete and pass a state required background study.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing to the extent required by the position.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
  • Required to have the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, clients, and visitors.
