Job Title: Behavior Interventionist - FACS Program

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Interventionist to join our team at Learn Academy in Victorville, CA. As a Behavior Interventionist, you will work closely with students in our FACS Program, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instructional support to individual and/or groups of students, monitoring their ability to follow directions and behavior.
  • Ride in school van to pick children up in the morning and drop them off in the afternoon.
  • Collect data regarding student(s) reaching goals/objectives as directed by licensed staff.
  • Assist staff in maintaining charts and other records related to student(s) progress.
  • Reinforce academic behaviors taught by licensed staff and provide the student with opportunities to practice.
  • Assist student in community, recreational, school, and leisure activities under the direction of licensed staff.
  • Implement district-approved techniques for verbal de-escalation and safe physical restraint, such as Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
Qualifications:
  • College degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience working with children in a special needs education setting.
  • Ability to collaborate and receive feedback, mentoring, and direction from peers and supervisors.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining a professional and clinical perspective at all times.
  • PCMA Certification a plus.
