Job Overview

DAN Solutions is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support our Government clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and executing configurations in the lab before introduction into the live environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with Government stakeholders regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Establishing state-of-the-art techniques for designing, developing, modifying, and troubleshooting complex computer operating hardware systems in a lab environment.
  • Designing operating/hardware systems, tools, and infrastructure, and formulating system concepts and architecture.
  • Understanding stakeholder needs and conveying them to architects.
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
  • Architecting, building, and maintaining on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure to support team and customer initiatives.
  • Maintaining and improving existing infrastructure, including autoscaling, supporting new services, and optimizing for cost efficiencies/authentication/search.
  • Administering production, staging, and development environments.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineers to build apps and solve complex problems.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience in building REST endpoints, data modeling, SQL, and/or Python, Redhat and/or Centos, server builds using automated mechanisms, Ansible or Puppet, Gitlab, deploying Docker engines in virtualized platforms for containerization, CI/CD automation, building and deploying data pipelines, and good coding practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
