Job Overview

Maleko Personnel is seeking a dedicated Companion to join our team in Hayward. As a Companion, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with daily activities, transportation, and community projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily care and support of individuals, including personal care and hygiene
  • Accompany individuals on outings and community activities
  • Assist with transportation to and from community settings
  • Participate in recreational, social, and cultural activities with individuals
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with staff to develop and implement behavioral interventions
  • Provide input on evaluations and recommendations for individuals

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current Adult First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Lifting up to 32 pounds
  • Good language and math skills
