Job Summary:

As a gastroenterologist with Allina Health, you will have the opportunity to provide direct care for patients with gastrointestinal diseases. Your responsibilities will include reviewing patient medical history, collecting and prioritizing comprehensive data, and providing care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient, or outpatient hospital setting.

Key Position Details:

Our expanding group of gastroenterologists has openings in various locations, utilizing multiple procedure centers. You will have the flexibility to work in a role that balances procedural and clinical responsibilities with administrative duties. You will have the opportunity to participate in on-call rotations and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Provides direct care for patients with gastrointestinal diseases
Reviews patient medical history and collects comprehensive data
Prioritizes and synthesizes data to inform patient care
Provides care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient, or outpatient hospital setting
Participates in on-call rotations

Requirements:

Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalency from an approved school of medicine
Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics
Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Fellowship training program in Gastroenterology or Pediatric Gastroenterology
2 years + of demonstrated experience in the designated specialty
Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice
ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, or in Gastroenterology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics
Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate
