Electrical Product Engineer Job Description

The Electrical Product Engineer will be a key member of the Manufacturing & Technical Support team at SynQor, providing engineering support for a range of products throughout all phases of product development and manufacturing. This role will focus on testing and qualifying new products and processes, supporting their transition into manufacturing, and providing ongoing engineering support throughout the product lifecycle as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Development: Develop processes and equipment to support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring efficient and effective product development.
  • Schedule Management: Assist in coordinating and managing the new product introduction schedule and activities, as well as cross-product issues throughout the product life cycle.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with design, test, quality, mechanical, and process engineers during all phases of product development to drive debug activities, reliability qualification, and yield enhancement.
  • Test Methodology: Create and develop test methodologies while performing failure analysis of existing and new products.
  • Documentation: Organize, prepare, finalize, and maintain documentation for production use.
  • Equipment Improvement: Troubleshoot and improve existing equipment and methodologies.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: Analyze and troubleshoot product down to the component level in a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) based environment, determining root-cause issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Experience: 0-3 years in the electronics industry, preferably on a high-mix, high-volume production line.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics, solid understanding of Electromagnetics and Linear Circuits, ability to analyze, test, and troubleshoot to the component level, good documentation practices, and test instrumentation and data acquisition experience.
