Van Driver

Join the Long Beach Unified School District team as a Van Driver and play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for operating a 9-passenger van on Catalina Island, transporting students to and from school, as well as on field trips and other destinations.

• Operate a 9-passenger van safely and efficiently on Catalina Island
• Transport students to and from school, as well as on field trips and other destinations
• Maintain a clean and safe operating condition of the van
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues
• Administer first aid as needed
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

• Valid California Class C driver's license
• Two years of experience operating a motor vehicle
• Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

The Van Driver will work in a fast-paced environment, operating a 9-passenger van on Catalina Island. The Van Driver will be exposed to various weather conditions, including rain, wind, and extreme temperatures. The Van Driver will also be required to work in a confined space, such as the van, for extended periods of time.
