About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Research Psychiatric Center. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify needs and develop personalized care plans
- Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with treatment teams to revise and implement care plans as needed
- Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with established policies
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families to promote health and wellness
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current State of practice RN licensure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- BLS certification upon hire
- Previous clinical experience preferred, with at least one year of inpatient psychiatric experience
