The Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with medical providers and other care team members to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
- Provide triage assessments, perform venipunctures, and intervene in emergency situations as needed.
- Assume responsibility for charging the department and managing supplies and equipment.
- Current Texas licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Associates degree in nursing (ADN) required, bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- At least one year of experience in Emergency Services (ED) or a related field.
