We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope. As a Fabricator, you will play a critical role in the production of architectural metals, working closely with our team to ensure high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints and instructions to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Pull material required to complete orders and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Tack weld to secure door components and install standard and custom hardware.
- Package material in preparation for pick up or shipment and maintain a clean work area.
- Read and interpret hardware templates and utilize PC workstation to deduct material from inventory.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures as a prerequisite to employment.
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Able to write and do basic math and possess basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
- Prep parts for assembly utilizing hand tools, punch presses, and mills and must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to work well with others, follow instructions, and be self-motivated.
- Able to work in difficult weather conditions and be punctual with excellent attendance.
- Be available for overtime and emergency work.
- Able to stand on feet wearing safety boots from 8-10 hours a day.
- Ability to lift, carry, twist, walk, and reach constantly, and bend frequently.
- Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.).
