Job Summary

The Clinical Oncology Nurse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering nursing care to patients undergoing oncology treatment. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, implementing treatments, and evaluating patient responses to care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administer medications, IVs, blood transfusions, and other treatments as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education and support throughout the treatment process.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in oncology nursing.
  • Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN/ONCC) certification preferred.
