About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. As a key member of our Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures for patients, following established protocols and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists.
  • Assist radiologists on procedures as needed and supervise student radiologic technologists assigned to you.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, utilizing age-appropriate care and following established guidelines.
  • Efficiently utilize imaging equipment, minimizing repeat examinations and using supplies with emphasis on cost containment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members, responding actively and sensitively to their needs.
  • Enter correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history into the computer system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Adhere to hospital, departmental, and safety policies and procedures, practicing good radiation protection and following established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certification in Radiography from South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA).
  • High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to perform and teach radiologic exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations, with the ability to operate standard office equipment.
