Collection and Recovery Modeling Manager

The Collection and Recovery Modeling Manager will lead the model management team to own models used within collections and recovery strategies. This role requires collaboration with the Model Development team to complete model governance related activities and partnership with the Collections Strategy and Recovery Strategy teams to lead analytic deep dives and root cause analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Model Owners to ensure fulfillment of all Model Risk Management required responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive model technical documentations.
- Contribute to model and strategy development related exams, audits & reviews, and develop remediation plans for timely resolution on any issues uncovered through those requests.
- Work closely with the Model Development team to identify and analyze underperforming models or model monitoring segments.
- Coordinate the creation and execution of action plans for strategy redevelopment when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline and 8+ years of experience in Risk, Credit, Consumer Lending or relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in model development or validation.
- 3+ years of experience in decision tree segmentation development.
- 5+ years hands on programming experience leveraging tools such as SAS/SQL/R/Python etc.
- 5+ years working with large data sets.
