*Per Diem Opportunity - Flexible Hours Including Days, Evenings & Weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing clinical expertise and available resources, the pharmacist dispenses medications for patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Supervises and actively participates in the compounding, preparation, and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Addresses medication-related inquiries from patients and healthcare providers, offering guidance on appropriate medication usage. Oversees pharmacy technicians.
Essential Competencies:
  • Outpatient pharmacists are tasked with reviewing, processing, dispensing, and counseling patients on prescriptions in accordance with federal regulations, while maintaining patient confidentiality throughout.
  • Pharmacists are expected to have comprehensive knowledge of medications and their applications.

Qualifications:
  • Valid New York State Pharmacist registration.
  • Completion of accredited continuing education as mandated by New York State.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Preferred: 12 months of experience in ambulatory care pharmacy.
