About the Role

Cortica is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join its dynamic team in Westlake Village, CA. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering life-changing care to children with neurodevelopmental differences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language treatment plans using dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
  • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to create comprehensive treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Design and implement play-based and goal-based interventions to develop receptive and expressive language skills, considering individual sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.
  • Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
  • Develop strategies and supports to help individuals engage in communication experiences across settings.
  • Collaborate with individuals and families to understand their values, interests, and goals.
  • Implement programming that considers all aspects of the child, including sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities.
  • Contribute to program development and education of patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
  • Deliver at least 22.75 hours of direct patient care each week, excluding time for training, documentation, and administrative meetings.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the state of California or willingness to obtain licensure.
  • Excellent clinical skills and experience working with children.
  • Desire to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting and flexibility to learn and adapt.
  • Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches and passion for working with children.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $2,000 annual continuing education stipend.
  • Competitive compensation, $87,377 to $109,222 depending on experience.
  • $10,000 bonus in the first year (four equal payments of $2,500 paid quarterly).
  • SLPA supervision stipend of $700 per month per full-time SLPA.
