Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to significantly enhance the communication skills of students facing speech and language challenges. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and empowering environment that promotes student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication capabilities.
  • Design personalized treatment plans and objectives tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide engaging and effective speech-language therapy, focusing on areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension and expression, fluency, and social communication.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and a multidisciplinary team to implement creative strategies and modifications within the educational setting.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and adjust intervention plans as necessary.
  • Offer training and support to teachers and staff on communication strategies to be utilized in the classroom.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students who may require speech and language services.
  • Keep accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other essential records.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience as an SLP in an educational environment is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of pediatric speech and language disorders, assessments, and evidence-based practices.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Commitment to positively impacting students' lives through effective communication support.
