Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Event Ambassador to join our team at Indiana University. As a Student Event Ambassador, you will play a key role in promoting our events and programs to the campus community.

Responsibilities
  • Promote upcoming events and programs through social media and other channels.
  • Work with event organizers to determine event language and hashtags.
  • Maintain professional standards of language and behavior in all social media posts.
  • Take photos at events and post live coverage on social media.
  • Email event photos to event organizers or store on designated areas.
  • Attend events on behalf of the marketing and communications department.
  • Distribute event flyers, postcards, and posters around campus.
  • Represent Indiana University by effectively communicating IU pride to others.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
  • Current minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Marketing, journalism, business, or related major.
  • Experience with professional writing or managing multiple social media accounts.
  • Involved in a OVPDEMA program or other related programs.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
