ERM is on the lookout for a dedicated Staff Environmental Engineer/Scientist specializing in Air Quality to enhance our consulting team.
This role involves engaging in a diverse range of technical projects across various sectors, including energy, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful environmental solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the ambient air monitoring team with both in-office and field tasks, including troubleshooting and maintaining monitoring equipment.
- Conduct analyses related to air, water, and waste, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform site assessments of operational facilities and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
- Develop precise air quality permit applications and interact with local regulatory bodies to facilitate the permit process.
- Compile emission inventory reports and evaluate pollution control technologies for effectiveness and feasibility.
- Participate in climate change initiatives, focusing on greenhouse gas inventories and emission reduction strategies.
- Manage multiple projects while adhering to budget and timeline constraints, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience; prior consulting or industry exposure is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations is preferred.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and database management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Ability to multitask, travel, and work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated annual base salary for this position ranges from $67,653 to $75,194, influenced by factors such as education, experience, and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, parental leave, and various insurance options.
