Gastrointestinal Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Gastrointestinal Technician to join our team at Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet. As a Gastrointestinal Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our surgical team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting physicians during invasive gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring the smooth execution of operations.
• Providing exceptional patient care, including assisting with patient preparation, positioning, and recovery.
• Collaborating with the surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
• Participating in departmental Performance Improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent, or related experience.
• Graduate of a training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a GI setting.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
