Asbestos Removal Specialist

At EnviroVantage, we are seeking a highly skilled Asbestos Technician to join our team. As a leading environmental specialty and demolition contractor, we pride ourselves on our commitment to safety and excellence in our work.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of construction experience and hold an Asbestos Worker Certification. They will be responsible for executing specific asbestos/demolition tasks, cleaning and preparing project sites, and working safely in a variety of environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute specific asbestos/demolition tasks as instructed
- Clean and prepare project sites
- Work safely in a variety of environments
- Operate hand tools and power tools
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Focused on SAFETY at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years construction experience required
- Asbestos Worker Certification required
- OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred
- Experience with construction hand tools required
- Experience working outside during all seasons and in all-weather required
- Able to pass pre-employment post-offer physical
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, hardworking and motivated
- Strong team player with positive attitude
Working Environment/Physical Demands:
- Coordination: Ability to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
- Attendance: Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are an essential job function
- Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, pollution and toxic atmospheres
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA-required medical surveillance programs as necessary
- Lifting: Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
- Climbing: Ability to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders
- Regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
