Key Responsibilities:
1. Process prescriptions from intake to completion while ensuring accuracy of member/patient information.
2. Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers.
3. Communicate effectively via phone and electronic methods with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
4. Conduct refill assessments, gather payment details, and coordinate delivery logistics for treatments in outpatient facilities.
5. Access, input, and retrieve prescription and medical/lab data from the computer system.
6. Verify medication reimbursement eligibility and address any rejected claims.
7. Manage prescription refills and assess supply requirements related to various therapies.
8. Resolve customer inquiries, ensuring accurate information is provided.
9. Multitask and manage communications from various business partners to ensure patient-centered quality care.
10. Adhere to all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards.
11. Collaborate with the team to promptly address all compounding needs.
12. Engage in ongoing training related to sterile compounding.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED (or higher)
- OR 4+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Florida
- Intermediate proficiency with Windows PC applications and ability to learn complex computer systems
- Capability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
- Previous experience in Home Infusion
- Experience in pharmacy/prescription data entry.
