Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat disease, defects, or injuries, and recommend or prescribe treatments for physical, mental, or functional ailments.
  • Perform all charting, summaries, correspondence, and paperwork required for documenting care and billing.
  • Participate in physician educational programs and respond to requests for proposals for managed care contracts.
  • Establish quality assurance programs, utilization management programs, and management information systems.
  • Develop patient education services and patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Assist in developing operational and capital budgets, and participate in operational assessments for revenue enhancement and expense reductions.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent.
  • South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner - NLNP, Prescriptive Authority South Carolina Nursing License, and South Carolina Controlled Substance license; Federal DEA license.
