Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Student Transportation of America. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our large commercial vehicles.

• Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections to ensure our vehicles are safe and reliable.
• Complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation, following schedules and OEM standards.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance as needed, under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
• Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, electrical systems, fuel systems, brakes, and exhaust systems.
• Perform emergency roadside services as needed, including inspection and repair of equipment.
• Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
• Maintain tools and workplaces in a neat and orderly condition.

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic.
• Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.
• Complete all training requirements.
• Pass a pre-employment background check.
