About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Category Manager to lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million-dollar operations construction projects for Amazon Services LLC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead individual General Contractor (GC) construction category projects, partnering with the team, owning the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million-dollar sites.
  • Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies, support key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision-making process of the category roadmap with senior leadership.
  • Build relationships and alignment with internal and external stakeholders to effectively plan and deliver site launches to meet site construction programs, particularly for Prime week and Peak season.
  • Own the individual targets and goals identified across the NA GC construction category scope as well as identifying and delivering incremental process and system improvements.
  • Drive General Contractor (GC) sourcing, award, contracting, and ongoing support until project delivery, while maintaining commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performance.
  • Support supplier performance management; including improving sustainability & social responsibility.
  • Help develop Key Performance Indicators and set goals for the team.
  • Support the progress of the team to ensure we are meeting customer expectations.
  • Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
  • Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with non-tech teams.
  • Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Experience in driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP.
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.).
  • 3+ years of construction cost management experience.
