Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join our team. As an EEG Technician, you will play a critical role in monitoring patients' nervous system activity and assisting in the diagnosis of neurological disorders.

Responsibilities:

* Perform routine testing procedures on patients, including EEGs, nerve conduction velocity testing, and sensory nerve conduction velocity testing.
* Prepare for testing by checking the calibration of equipment and ensuring adequate supplies are on hand.
* Review patients' clinical data to understand their referral for testing.
* Attempt to put patients at ease by ensuring their physical comfort and explaining the testing procedure.
* Administer peripheral and cerebral vascular doppler examinations, including arterial studies of the upper and lower extremities.
* Recommend sedation as appropriate and administer sedation as prescribed.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED.
* Ability to do work requiring attention to detail to avoid inaccurate test results.
* Ability to use technical physiological test equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program.
